At this point in the story i have the most sympathy for George. He had to shoot his best friend. I dont think i could do that if it was an option. I have a lot of sympathy for George because he had to deal with Lennie and all of the problems Lennie causes him all the time. Every time George and Lennie get close to achieveing their dream of owing a house with lots of plants and rabbits that Lennie would tend, Lennie does something to get them introuble with someone or the law and eventually have to run away because of that. If i was George i couldnt put myslef to shoot Lennie because then i have to live with that on your shoulders of killing someone.
