Yes, i do think today people still feel isolated and alienated like Crooks does. Even if you haven't noticed people are still racist. Just because people are a certain color doesn't mean you have to exclude them from things. People sometimes make "jokes" that are offensive. To them it may not be offensive but to other people it can be. It may seem like it doesn't hurt them but deep down it really does. They also use words that are really offensive to people. People who are victims of racism feel lonely. They have no friends, they dont talk to nobody just like Crooks from the book. They are basically in their own little world. The thing is that its not only racism its a bunch of things going on. For example sexism, in some jobs they might pay a men more money then a women. If you look at it it is nice being different because thats what makes us who we are and unique in ways.
